The Marybelle ADU, a 615 sq. ft. gem in San Leandro, California, is a brilliant example of transforming a garage into a stylish and functional living space. With 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a cozy living and kitchen area, this conversion was designed to maximize comfort and serve as an excellent income-generating unit for the client.
The project presented an exciting challenge: the client wanted to retain the existing structure without major changes. In a clever design approach, we utilized the garage door space to create multiple windows and a door, bringing in ample natural light and fresh air. To further enhance brightness and ventilation, strategically placed skylights were added, ensuring a naturally illuminated and airy environment.
